A decorative 1930s English wall mirror by Peerage, with a richly embossed brass frame featuring repeating shell motifs throughout and a distinctly Art Deco sensibility. Smaller shell detailing borders both the inner and outer edges, creating a layered, highly textured surface.
The warm aged brass has developed substantial variation in tone and patina, with darker areas emphasizing the raised shellwork. The reverse is stamped “Peerage England,” with part of the Peerage mark worn from age. Its compact scale and decorative frame make it especially well suited to a powder bath, dressing area, or part of a larger gallery wall.

Condition
Good vintage condition consistent with age. The brass frame shows surface wear, scratches, abrasions, tarnish, light oxidation, discoloration, darkened areas, and finish variation throughout. Scattered small dents and irregularities are present, along with visible seams and fasteners at the corners, consistent with the construction and age of the piece.
The mirror plate shows light age-related surface wear. The wood backing shows age-related wear and retains an older metal chain as well as a later wire hanging system; the mirror was photographed hanging from the wire. The stamped “Peerage England” mark to the reverse is partially worn but remains legible. Due to the weight of the piece, professional installation is recommended.
