Details
This 19th century French mirror features an intricately carved giltwood frame with scrolling openwork detailing and its original mirror plate. The warm gilded surface contributes to the character and depth of the piece. Richly patinated throughout, the mirror shows visible age, wear, and surface variation consistent with time and use.
Compact in scale yet visually substantial, it works beautifully layered into bookshelves, powder rooms, guest spaces, or incorporated into a larger collected wall arrangement. A second similar mirror is available separately.
Origin
France, 19th Century
Condition
Good antique condition consistent with age and use. Visible wear, age cracks, separations, losses, surface variation, and evidence of historic worming throughout the giltwood frame, particularly along the carved openwork detailing and extremities.
