This 19th-century oak wine tasting table features a substantial pedestal form with a thick circular plank top and heavily constructed silhouette throughout. Originally used in wine cellars and tasting rooms, the form was designed for durability and stability while maintaining a relatively compact footprint.
Each table retains a richly aged surface with visible grain variation, historic wear, old repairs, shrinkage, and age-related irregularities developed over more than a century of use. The warm, dark oak tones and sculptural silhouette give the piece strong presence, making it especially well suited beside a lounge chair, layered into a library, or used as a pedestal-style drinks table.
Heavy, substantial, and structurally sound overall. Slight variation and subtle lean may be visible at certain angles, consistent with the age and hand-built nature of the piece and contributing to its authenticity and character. Sold individually.
