This circa 1920 English paneled oak cabinet features paneled detailing across the front and sides, accented by a sweeping cornice, softly curved corner detailing, and brass ring pull hardware. The narrow proportions and substantial height give the piece strong architectural presence while remaining versatile in scale.
The exterior retains a heavily worn black painted finish with extensive rubbing and layered patina throughout. Inside, the cabinet opens to a warm oak interior with three shelves — a beautiful contrast against the dark exterior.
The paneled construction, restrained detailing, and aged painted surface reflect strong Arts & Crafts influence while maintaining a timeless, collected character. Ideal for use as a pantry cupboard, linen cabinet, wardrobe, or general storage piece.

Condition
Good antique condition consistent with age and use. Painted surface exhibits extensive age-related wear, variation, rubbing, and losses throughout, contributing to the piece’s layered patina and timeworn character. Interior shows expected wear from use. Age-related cracks are present to the reverse back panels, as photographed. A minor separation is present to a portion of the lower front base trim. Structurally sound overall with wear consistent with age and construction.
