Details
A substantial 1930s Murano art glass bowl by Barovier & Toso. Hand-formed in thick smoky pink glass, the bowl features a highly sculptural freeform rim with dramatic folds and curls.
Gold inclusions are suspended throughout the glass, creating a shimmering effect that shifts with the light. The combination of warm pink glass, clear passages, and gold decoration gives the piece depth and movement.
The bowl was acquired at auction from the collection of a prominent Toronto glass collector. The auction catalogue identified the piece as Barovier & Toso and dated it to the 1930s.
Origin
Murano, Italy, 1930s
Condition
Good vintage condition consistent with age. Light surface wear and minor imperfections are present throughout, consistent with age and the hand-formed nature of the glass. No major chips, cracks, or repairs observed. Please review all listing photographs closely for condition.
