Details

This petite English desk calendar features a hallmarked sterling silver frame with its original printed calendar panel. The left column holds sliding day-of-the-week tabs that allow the calendar to be configured for each month, while the central numerical grid remains fixed.

The reverse retains its original easel stand and adjustment knob for setting the day slider. A charming, functional antique—equally at home on a writing desk, bookshelf, or bedside table.

Maker’s marks: CPB, Birmingham anchor, lion passant for sterling, and date letter confirming 1912.

Origin

Birmingham, England — 1912

Condition

Good antique condition consistent with age. The silver frame shows light surface wear, small marks, and gentle patina from handling over time. The printed calendar surfaces display age-toning and minor foxing as expected for early 20th-century materials. The sliding day-of-the-week panel functions properly, and the original easel back remains stable, with minor separation at the corners. A charming, well-preserved piece.
