Details

This petite lidded mustard pot is an example of early pewter tableware by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield. The cylindrical body features a shaped scrolling handle, a hinged lid engraved with the initial “A,” and stamped maker’s markings to the base.

Originally intended for mustard or other condiments at table, it now serves beautifully as a decorative accent—perfect on a shelf, bar tray, or styled among books and collected smalls. Not food safe.

Origin

England, late 19th to early 20th century

Condition

Good antique condition with expected surface marks, oxidation, and patina throughout. Lid hinge is intact and functional. Small dings and irregularities typical of antique pewter. No liner present.
