A bronze sculpture titled Alex by Italian artist Marcello Pietrantoni, dating to 1994. The elongated figure combines a slender lower body with a broad, stylized torso and highly modeled head, reflecting Pietrantoni’s interest in archaic and mythic forms.
Pietrantoni began working in bronze in the late 1980s, developing sculptural figures with references to ancient and Mesopotamian visual traditions. Alex is a documented work from 1994.
The sculpture is signed on the base and appears to be numbered 5/9. The dark bronze surface has developed areas of greenish patina and tonal variation throughout. Sourced in Milan, Italy.

Vintage condition consistent with age. The bronze shows surface wear, scratches, abrasions, scattered marks, and variation to the dark patinated finish throughout.
