This round marquetry table dates to circa 1900 and was sourced in England, originally from Belgium. It features an elaborate inlaid top composed of mixed wood species, arranged in a radiating geometric pattern that draws the eye from every angle. The apron is boldly fluted, while the tripod base is deeply shaped with diamond inlay on the central column, lending sculptural weight and visual texture.
The piece shows clear evidence of age and handmade construction. Veneer separations are visible across the top, including along the outer edge and through parts of the patterned inlay. The base finish exhibits bubbling and craquelure, particularly around the center support and legs. These irregularities were left untouched to preserve the authenticity of its surface and the charm of its timeworn character.
Though aged, the table remains structurally sound and stable. It’s a compelling piece—expressive in silhouette, rich in detail, and best suited for display where its intricacy can be appreciated up close.

Visible age-related wear throughout, including veneer separations on the tabletop, craquelure and bubbling to the base finish, and minor surface losses—all consistent with its age and original construction. The table has not been refinished in order to preserve its authenticity and timeworn character.
