Details
A vintage Impressionist-style oil on board depicting a quiet rural landscape in muted shades of ochre, olive green, brown, and gray. Expressive brushwork captures golden grasses, a solitary leafless tree, and a distant village beneath a softly overcast sky.
Signed at lower right, with additional handwritten inscriptions on the reverse. Housed in a warm-toned carved wood frame with repeating geometric detailing. Recently professionally re-secured within the frame. Sourced in Lucca, Italy.
Origin
Europe
Condition
Vintage condition consistent with age. The painted surface shows age-related craquelure, surface variation, scattered abrasions, and areas of pronounced textured brushwork throughout.
The carved wood frame shows surface wear, nicks, scratches, and minor separation at the corners. A small, nonstructural split is visible along the right vertical side of the frame. The painting has recently been professionally re-secured within the frame, which remains structurally sound. The reverse shows age-related wear and handwritten inscriptions.
