This vintage Italian wooden card box features a checkerboard pattern of gold-toned and olive-green panels, accented by red, black, and gold floral motifs. The hinged lid opens to reveal four wooden compartments originally intended to hold decks of playing cards.
The gold-toned finish has a distinctly metallic sheen that appears brighter in certain lighting. The underside bears an Italian manufacturer’s stamp.

Condition
Vintage condition consistent with age. The exterior shows scattered scratches, abrasions, finish wear, and small areas of paint loss, including a visible crack in the decorative finish along one edge of the lid. The interior shows surface wear and variations in the wood finish.
